Originally trained in traditional Irish step dance, Sean entered into the contemporary dance scene as a leading dancer with the Bill T. Jones/Arni Zane Dance Company. He was also one of the original cast members of the off-Broadway percussion show Stomp. Sean is a type of character you expect to cross only in the pages of a good book. While I delt with a technical problem during the shoot, we talked about his family's eyebrows. He recounted the sizes and shapes of various grandfathers' and cousins', and I felt privelaged. These chairs are part of the set for his 2004 creation Sonata (We Are What We Are).
